Sir Jimmy Saville died last night aged 84. Another part of my childhood memories passed away. RIP Jimmy |

I loved his broadcasts on Radio Luxembourg in the early 1960s. RIP. |

Yes, I was really sad to hear he's gone. He was a local lad from Leeds, so there have been a lot of tributes to him on the local news here. I have very fond memories of him on TOTP when I was a youngster, and Jim'll Fix It later. Not forgetting the work he did for charity, fundraising for Leeds General Infirmary, Stoke Mandeville Hospital and so on. A great bloke by all accounts. RIP Sir Jimmy. |
