I think the best way to experience these places is through beautiful photographs. I wouldn't like to actually be there. |

I don't know. I've been in a few empty/abandoned places now and there's and almost scary sense of calm, if it can be scary. In Durham last week it felt like a dream come true, not to be confused with the other "a dream come true". |

Oh, I like quiet places, but derelict houses in reality can be smelly or plagued with insects, things that don't show up in photos. |
