It's got Joel and me in it. Nice review: http://thefix-online.com/reviews/subtle-edens-an-anthology-of-slipstream-fiction -edited-by-allen-ashley/ |

But is it out yet? In early November it will be. And the reviewer's dead right that there's no such thing as slipstream. It's a sleight-of-hand genre invented to calm down the kind of reader who panics at SF without spaceships or horror without zombies. ALL the most original genre fiction of the past would now be called slipstream – that's how narrow fandom has become. Not that the branding actually matters. Just enjoy the stories. |

Seriously, Allen did state in his guidelines that even he can't define what 'slipstream' is. I guess this book is his attempt to do so. I'm delighted that he included my out-and-out horror tale - big spiders! - even if it does have a few non-conventional elements. |

Looks like a solid anthology. Congratulations to you both, Gary and Joel. |

Congrats to both! I almost submitted to this but wasn't entirely sure what would fit. |
