Has anyone else seen this wee TV masterpiece? A deeply strange and haunting play by the always-excellent David Rudkin (Artemis 81 and the BBC adaptation of 'The Ash Tree') and directed by Alan (Scum, Made in Britain) Clarke. It was slated for DVD release a few years ago but never came out. It's currently up on YouTube and so I took the chance to watch it while it's still there (I wouldn't normally, but it's pretty much the only way to view it at present.) It really is one for all fans of weird fiction. Rudkin on the play here: http://www.davidrudkin.com/html/tv/penda.html |

I'd forgotten about this - it starred the lad from Timeslip. Not seen it since its broadcast, so I may well take a peek on YouTube - cheers for the info, Simon. |
