http://vodo.net/creepy

A 6-month subscription to a horror magazine, some music, a novel, a graphic novel, four short films and a bunch of Steam games, all for whatever you feel like paying.

Personally I'm getting it just for The Path, the rest is a bonus.

I did grab it myself, though I've not looked at any of it yet. I might watch one or two of the films later today if I get the chance.

It does sound good. I'm not really into the games side of it though. At the risk of sounding like an idiot (which I am when it comes to computer games), how do you play these? Do you just download something and play it on your PC? I might be tempted - but I have so much to do at the moment I don't have any time to spare.

You need a program called Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/about/), then you put the activation codes into that and it downloads the games and lets you run them from a menu.

It's a form of digital rights management where you need to be online when you run it so it can verify the games (I think there's a way to play games offline but I haven't really looked into it), which is a bit annoying but the upside is you can get games extremely cheaply in bundles like this.

Thanks, David. I'll take a look at that when I've got a little time. But it might not be worth me bothering when I'm not really into game playing like this. Looks interesting for those who are though.

Another bundle that might be of interest here: https://www.humblebundle.com/books

It's a load of ebooks, quite a mixed bag of stuff but Lovecraft's Monsters by Ellen Datlow is in there, as well as The Swords and Sorcery Anthology which looks quite good and From Hell.

Plus this one is for charity.

A new charity bundle - this one's for comics and is based around The Walking Dead, you can get the first five volumes at various tiers among other stuff.

I actually went for the Pay What You Want tier just to get Ghosted, which had caught my eye a while back. It's about an eccentric millionaire who hires a crew of criminals to steal him a ghost, sort of like Hell House crossed with Ocean's 11 by the sounds of it. It's received good reviews.

Here's a pretty good value book and comic Halloween charity bundle - stuff by Dan Simmons, Robert McCammon, Mike Carey and Clive Barker. As usual it's Pay What You Want for the first tier with more stuff available for more money.

There's also a whole bunch of Halloween gaming bundles out right now. As usual they're a mixed bag when it comes to quality but there are usually one or two things that make them worth the £2-3 price (and, generally, you'll need to use Steam to take advantage of them).

https://www.indiegala.com/halloween - Paranormal is supposed to be very good (a procedurally generated haunted house game that's never the same twice), and Eversion I've heard good things about, though it looks like and sells itself as a cutesy platform game it's actually supposed to be an interesting experiment in horror.

https://www.humblebundle.com/flash - I bought this one for Claire, which is a heavily Silent Hill inspired 2D game that has gotten good reviews.

http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/carnage-bundle/ - most of this one looks quite ropey but it could be worth it for The Cat Lady. I just started that today, it's a dialogue heavy horror adventure about a suicidal middle-aged woman. I'm not quite sure what to make of it just yet but the voice acting is surprisingly good and I've heard great things about the story.

http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/supernatural-bundle/ - this one has a load of adventure games (Necronomicon and all 5 of the Dracula series) as well as a few other bits and pieces.
