Our favourite internet troll's rolodex seems to have opened up on me today.

I've had a fraudulent homophobic paypal bill, an abusive email, Frank has had an email insulting me and I've got another mention on Shocklines - to which I have replied - check it now before Matt deletes the thread.

Er ... I think this is one of those threads where my brain has either stopped functioning correctly, or you're talking in some kind of code. I'm afraid I haven't a clue what you're talking about Weber. But abusive and insulting communications aren't very nice. What've you done to warrant that, Weber?

I asked him why his magazine had different titles on the front and back covers and left a negative review of one of his books on Amazon.

Good news though, apparently he's been banned from Yuku completely for threatening to shoot someone in the head. So he will no longer be appearing on Shocklines. Maybe that means there won't be so many disappearing threads.

Mr Pacione is the offender referred to, Caroline. He also recently posted an abusive and wholly gratuitous comment about my old friend Poppy Z. I previously made an effort (perhaps too much of one) to treat him like a gentleman, but he's now aware that's over. I should mention that Marc originally antagonised him by daring to question his publishing methods.

Antagonised is a bit strong. I politely asked the questions above and he decided I was on a par with Dave Boyer.

Since then I may have phrased things in such a way as to push his buttons a bit harder - but even that was mainly just calling him Nicky and making a joke about writing a story with the same title as one of his.

Oh yes, and I posted a bad review of one of his books on Amazon which apparently is Slander...

Only if it's untrue. Every word of my review was true.

In any case, I'm only quoting little Nicky when I say slander. That's what he's using as the reason for sending me paypal bills for £650

this was the merchant's note on the one I got yesterday

Note from merchant
I charge a penalty for that you fucking prick. So I hope you can afford the bill coming to you. Fucking turncoat piece of shit. I wonder if you were sucking the boyfriend of Sammie Cox off and got AIDS. Asshole.

This is the merchant note on the one I got today as a result of posting on Shocklines to tell him not to waste his time.

Each time you slander my name and books

You will be billed 650 GBP, consider this a fine for each time you do it. You should have never picked a fight with me because I am going to it really cost you and each time you slam a project on Lake Fossil Press, I will be billing you every step of the way. I am going to make it hard for you.

This was because I called him Nicky when I told him not to bother sending any more. as witnessed by the email he sent me along with today's bill.

Every time you smear my name on Amazon.com or a message board and I catch you do it -- I will send you a bill for 650 GBP. Especially calling me Nicky -- how would you like it if I constantly called you faggot or poofter? Well it's the same thing dickhead. I will not let you wreck sales of my books or disrupt the magazine.

"Antagonised" in the sense of "aroused opposition in", but I see your point, Marc! I took Mr Pacione to task about his ridiculous Boyer comparison at the time.

I'm not letting it get to me.

He's so pathetic it's funny to be honest.

the fact that Yuku itself has banned him - not the moderator at shocklines but Yuku itself - has to speak for itself what a tool he is.

Johnny, that's only one of his blogs. He has at least 8 spread across the internet and they're all pretty similar. illiterate and generally bloody stupid homohobic rants and wild accusations against whatever imagined misdeed is fluttering through his cranium at the time.

Gary F, please, if he does ever apply for a login here, just say no.

As a writer he's managing to horribly bury his 'career' before he can even get it started. No publisher worth their salt would touch such poison.

>>Writers pay note. Publisher's have access to the internet too.<<

That's an interesting one. It's not just writers who need to beware. There have been many incidents of people applying for jobs and not getting them because prospective employers have looked at what they've said online (eg. Facebook accounts, etc) and decided they wouldn't be suitable to employ. I think a lot of people forget that everything which is written online is open for anyone to view. If you say something silly, it can count against you in any context - eg. job applications. The internet's a dangerous tool (sorry, couldn't think of a better word!) if a person isn't careful.

>>Yes, but if he takes ill and goes into hospital we can all pretend that he was a very nice chap after all and wish him well.<<

On that blog Johnny posted, I saw something (albeit quickly - I might have been mistaken) which suggested Mr P is, indeed, disabled. It seems a shame to me that a lot of people who either cause, or get into, trouble on the internet have illnesses which, I guess, make them a little "bitter and twisted" for want of a better phrase. I'm not condoning bad internet behaviour from any quarter, but it's worth remembering that if someone says something out of turn on the internet, it may be that there's something pretty awful going on in their lives which makes them like that. Not making excuses for anyone or anything, but it's worth thinking of the other person concerned too. I don't think some people are "tools" for no good reason. But then some of them might be!

He keeps playing the "I've got a mental illness, feel sorry for me" card.

It doesn't work. If he actually took his meds, he might not be such a tool.

He's thrown those absurd bills around before. I'm surprised Paypal haven't already got involved. Maybe nobody can be bothered to complain, due to the inevitable streams of vitriolic bad grammar that would ensue.

Oh, and tool is definitely one of my favourite mild pejoratives. Along with bell end.
Actually, should that be one word? Bellend. Or possibly hyphenated? Bell-end. Hmmm.

I've also contacted Amazon.com and pointed them at the reviews of his foreskin collectives book. There are at least 6 negative reviews with updates telling Nick not to send abusive emails...

Fingers crossed he could lose his sellers account on Amazon as a result. Wouldn't that be a shame

WAITAMINUTE.

Tabloids like to abbreviate people's names i.e. Robert Pattinson is R-Patz.

The tabloid celebrity abbreviation of Ramsey Campbell would be R-Cam.

ARKHAM.

ARKHAM BELL.

(or is this one of these things everyone else noticed years ago and decided it was too stupid to comment on? That happens to me a lot.)

Although the image of the landlord as a tabloid celeb- doubtless complete with chunky gold bling from Mr T's House of Crap, and quite possibly a baseball cap worn sideways- is potentially even more disturbing...

Weber, when you say you've had a fraudulent homophobic Paypal bill, how many authentic ones have you received?

Reminds me of the Inland Revenue anecdote about the tax collector who suggested a businessman repay his tax debts at the rate of £5,000 per anum. The businessman replied: "I've heard of paying through the nose, but that's a bit much."

Not unless Nicky's been promoted to world prominence I think not.

I love the fact that he's proud that Ramsey has criticised him. The fact that ramsey said his writing was almost laughably bad seems to have escaped him.
