I just received the latest "Horrorgy" announcement from Horror Mall, which contains a very nice ad for Mike and Carol's novel. The teaser paragraph is so evocative, I wish I had the book in my hands right now. I've a gut feeling that this story's going to create some real sparks, Mike. | ||

Ian, that's great news. What number did you get? Thanks kindly for supporting the book so wholeheartedly. No ISBN. I don't know if it's because it's aimed at the collectible market or not. At some point there'll be a trade edition. I assume, perhaps wrongly, that it will have an ISBN. | ||

Mike: I have #50! I was of the view that any book sold to 'the public' was to have an ISBN, even if it was only a limited run. Any run of as many as 200 (such as the "limited edition" has) is supposed to have one, surely? If it's a proper 'first edition', then it has to have one, doesn't it? I doubt there's an ISBN police force, but it seems odd not having one. | ||

One thing to remember is that in Canada, ISBNs and ISSNs are freely issued by the Federal department of Library & Archives Canada, but in the USDA and the UK, you buy them from Nielson. | ||
