Just to announce that number 4 in our Gray Matter series of novellas will contain not one novella, nor two, and not even three . . . but FOUR novellas. The wonderful, all-original GROANING SHADOWS by Paul Finch contains 100,000 words of Paul's brand new fiction:

The Sundered Flesh (20,000 words)
We Are The Shadows (30,000 words)
Their Bones Picked Clean (20,000 words)
The Baleful Dead (30,000 words)
The book will be available in two editions in just a few weeks:

Jacketed hardcover flat-signed by Paul Finch - £18 / $32 plus P&P
Trade paperback - £8 / $14 plus P&P

The hardcover will include an ultra-rare short story from Paul not available in the paperback. The hardcover will be printed by Biddles.

That looks good. How many pages is it, gary? I can't mentally picture a book's size by word count - I've no idea if 100,000 words takes up twenty pages or two hundred!

Thanks, Gary. That's pretty substantial - I was expecting it to be 150-200 pages.

No, it's a whopper. I like to give good weight in my books. The Bestwick is 300 pages, too.

Ordered this one and the Bestwick

Did anyone read Finch's Cape Wrath? I thought it was quite entertaining.

Yep - I loved "Cape Wrath", too. Brilliant stuff: Finch at his brutal best.

Thanks for buying, folks. You won't regret it.

This book is remarkable. 'The Baleful Dead' is, frankly, a supernatural masterpiece. And the others are masterly, too.

Got my name on a copy. I hope.

The Bestwick beast arrived yesterday and it boasts, indeed, a massive girth.

Yay, Finchy! Having read at least one of these, I'm looking forward to the rest.
