Huge savings to be had - Pete Crowther is discounting pre-2008 books by 60% (excluding Postscripts and a couple of other items). They even have hardcovers of Ramsey's absolutely brilliant GRIN OF THE DARK for £5, and Gary Fry's stonking SANITY & OTHER DELUSIONS for £4!
Blimey!
This is going on until Hallowe'en. Quote from PS's site:-

The usual postage charges will apply, of course, but this’ll mean that our £50 slipcased hardcovers will be just £20; our regular trade hardcovers (£20 and £25) will be only £8 or £10; jacketed novellas (£25) will be £10; and all paperback and unjacketed hardcover novellas will be a low £4 apiece.

I've just bought six books...

.. and I've just bought two! (including Gary's - been thinking of getting that for a while) Damn, these sales make me spend money!

Yes indeed, many interesting ones on offer. In fact, I like most of PS Pub's portfolio.

Bought the classic Bradbury collections "R is for Rocket" and "S is for Space", McLeod's "Past Magic" and the anthology "Don't turn out the light".
4 nice hardcover books for 40 pounds. That's quite reasonable!

It's not as if I didn't have a huge reading backlog already though!

Thanks, Caroline! Hope it does ye ead in, as we say in Yorkshire, eh, lass?

That's the one I've just ordered, Gary! As a signed book fanatic, I can never resist the limited signed editions. I'm sure it will do me 'ead in too - lovely! (or maybe my husband will do me 'ead in when I confess I've been buying books again)

And I've also gone for "Don't Turn Out The Lights" as well.

There are some real tempters, but in the end I went for Ramsey Campbell, Probably (to replace a copy I lent to someone who turned into a **** and never gave it back), and the two-volume Collected Ed Gorman. Plus the new Sarah Pinborough novella, which I've been looking forward to.

I got me a David Herter novella, the slipcased hardcover of Dandelion Wine, and the Colorado Kid edition illustrated by JK Potter.

I already owned the other titles I wanted (including Ramsey's and Gary's), although my copy of RC,Prob is a bit battered.

Yep, I picked a Colorado Kid as well. And I have the RC books anyhow - bargain city, though.

I think this sale must be going well - both R is for Rocket and S is for Space are now sold out. I may have another rummage...
Wonder if PS will be offering these books at these prices at FCon?

I can't believe I got the 50th anniversry edition of Dandelion Wine signed by Ray Bradbury, for only £20!!! That's less than a crap meal at Pizza Hut.

I wasn't quite so lucky. The copy of "Sanity .." I got was only signed by Gary, not the special version signed by Stephen Volk too (but it's still a great book though). And I missed out completely on the Steve Jones antho - they'd all gone.

>>Did you order the jacketed edition, Caroline?<<

Yes, and paid a tenner for it - but I received the standard one. When I queried it, I got poor Pete Crowther in a state of confusion until I explained and he refunded the balance to me. Would've preferred the jacketed edition though - and the Steve Jones anthology.

Aw, thanks Gary - you're sweet (I bet you don't get told that too often on this board! )

But I'm only an adopted Bradfordian, don't forget. I'm a southerner really.

I bagged a few bargains, including the quite lovely editon of Dandelion Wine.
It caught my wife's attention (a Bradbury newbie) and she's loving it.
