I know I must be in the right place to ask about this - with Ramsey's involvement in FFF. I've never been to it, but I'm tempted to try this year. So, can anyone tell me about it (other than what it already tells us on the website)? I mean, the nitty gritty - is it over the course of the whole 3 days, or does it just start on the Friday night and finish Sunday lunchtime, what's the programming like - are there clashes, etc? I may only get a day ticket - in which case, which is the best day to go? Any info gratefully received .. thanks. | ||

I've always had great fun at the FFF although I've not been able to get down for one reason or another the last couple of years. It runs across the three days, starting middayish on the Friday and finishing lateish on the Sunday. there's 3 streams of films/events at any one time and the Ramster himself runs the auction. I've not seen the lineup for this year but the Saturday is normally the busiest day. You've reminded me I need to check when it is this year and try to get down. | ||

Thanks, Weber. Here's the info - it's on 16-18 October: http://www.fantastic-films.com/festival/ So I guess the Saturday is the best day to go if I just go for one day then. I'll have to see a bit nearer the time. Particular favourites in the current guest line up are Bob Feust (Dr Phibes) and John Hough (Twins of Evil, Legend of Hill House). I've seen them both at the Fantastic Films Weekend in Bradford and they were fab. When does Ramsey do his auction? | ||

Thanks, Ramsey. So it definitely does look like Saturday is the best day to go if I can only manage one day. |
