I got a great surprise today. My girlfriend, Ewa, contacted a book dealer in Warsaw who sold books in English. She then managed to track down a copy of Ramsey's 'Scared Stiff' which I have never owned nor read. I have it now! What's the verdict on this little piece of loveliness? I see some of the stories appeared in the Mayflower Book of Black Magic Stories, 4th, 5th, and 6th respectively. There's also an intro by Clive Barker and illustrations by J.K. Potter. | ||

First story in the collection is one of my favourite Ramsey pieces, and therefore one of my favourite shorts, full stop. Fine collection. The recent(ish) Tor reissue has a couple of additional tales in it, Fran. But the UK edition's still a belter. | ||
