Spent the day at FCon and had a great time, meeting old and new friends and it was good to put faces to names from this board - thanks for the curry trip, Gary and Soozy.

I was very impressed with the readings I attended - Joel, Simon and Gary - but the prize of the day has to go to John Llewellyn Probert. Brilliant, theatrical, involving - a class act.

Cheers, everyone

I herd from Someone Who Was There that Lord Probert's reading was exceptionally good, and funny.

I would gladly have travelled to Nottingham and back just for the fun of standing (standing room only!) in a very small room and listening to this outrageously entertaining story. You're a baaaaaaaad man, JLP.

Wish I could have watched the maestro in action. Congrats Lord Probert. And well done to Joel, Gary and Simon.

We were so gutted to have missed John's reading! If last years was anything to go by, I bet it was very entertaining!

Yes, I wish I could have been there too.

Nevertheless, well done John and everyone else who gave readings.

Was it something from Wicked Delights you read, Lord P?

It was, as ever, superb. I always feel like a sham artist when I think of my readings compared to JLP's!

Thanks very much everyone! I think it was obvious to all present that I was having a whale of a time performing 'Two for Dinner' (which will indeed be in Wicked Delights, Caroline!).

I'm particularly pleased that the punchline of the story reduced the usually reserved Mr Reggie Oliver to a state of such helpless and uncontrollable laughter that at one point I began to fear for his breathing.

My thanks to all who came, all those who intended to come, and most of all to Kathleen, Lady Probert, who of course was responsible for this particular JLP performance having that little bit of extra fire
