Today I was at the Danish national fantasy gaming and minature painting Con which was loads of fun. Kind of dizzying seeing so many minatures in one place. I still occasionally paint minatures, and blimey I picked up a minature painting award, and it looks very cool so I thought I would post a picture of what it looks like. (Kind of a childhood dream to get one of these) Yaaayyy!

Yes, and supply a general background of the things as well, please. What planet do they inhabit, where did you find the invocation to properly resurrect a specimen etc. |

Thanks guys :-) The inner geek flourishes. I never have the time to do stuff like this, but I can't quite let it go. With all this digital media etc, it's just nice to do something analogue, as it were. I'll spend a couple of hours a week at the end of the day and just paint these things- good for the brain, especially when it's working on other creative problems I find. So Hubert I don't have all the mythological background, except that this is a 'Chaplain in Terminator Armour.' ie. A Space Marine in Dreadnought armour, who isn't very subtle when he wants to tell you a little something about God, or in this case, his emperor. Solaris Books which used to be owned by Games Workshop are putting out interesting books- Conrad Williams' 'Decay Inevitable', I believe is comming out from them. And I remember a short story by William King in a book called 'The Lost and the Damned,' which just blew me away when I was very young- it had a stunning black and white illustration by a guy called Adrian Smith, and it certainly inspired me to then go on and find other things. |

That's brilliant, Karim. I'd love to see more of these too. Could you post us some more pics? |

I love these! When you say they're minatures, how tall are they roughly? |

I agree that doing this stuff helps you unwind, takes stress away. I tinkered with building old Aurora kits a while back but they were no where near as nice as this. |
