My review of the quite incredible film 'Pieces' can now be found on the 'All Things Horror' website for anyone who finds my little essays amusing:

Good fun, Lord P. Nicely done. "The biggest reddest typewriter I have ever seen" made me laugh.

Having just watched a Pieces trailer, I suggest the producers change the tagline to: 'You don't have to go to Texas for a chainsaw massacre - you can go to B & Q instead; we did.'

Great review, as always, Lord P. :-)

I have actually seen this, in the old Forum cinema which no longer exists. The ending is indeed something special. I suspect the makers of Resurrection got their idea of a corpse made out of separate bits from this piece of early 80ies trash.

I'm not familiar with Resurrection Hubert, but there is the 1980s Lamberto Bava giallo BodyPuzzle that uses the same premise.

This is the one:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resurrection_(1999_film)

It's very intense and fast-paced and yes, there are hints of 7even, not only storywise but also in the general atmosphere - lots of rain, predominantly dark colours . . . By all means seek it out, I for one wasn't disappointed.

Speaking of giallos, have you ever seen a dvd of La Lama nel Corpo (1967)? I so much want to see this film it's become an obsession, to the point I'm beginning to imagine my own storyline.

If you really really really want to see it, Hubert, well...

Thanks, Craig, but I no longer have a credit card, so that's not in the works
