...my office is now definitively a horrendous place where everyone has had the life and soul sucked out of them. They think that a Wednesday lunchtime is a good time for the office Christmas do... An expensive meal at a shit local restaurant followed by... going back to work! So we can't even drink. No-one seems to think that an evening meal followed by drinks where we can all let our hair down is a better option. I'm so pissed off about this. |

They always did the Christmas party at lunchtime in the place I used to work. Mind you, it's a university - so that might explain it. But I'm such a Christmas misery-guts that I never went anyway - neither did many other people!  |

Lunchtime at work is no place for a Christmas celebration. It's like something that might happen in one of Ramsey's novels (or in 'Glyphotech'). People should be out wassailing. |
