Big snowstorm here on the North Essex coast - with much thunder and lightning.
In my 62 years, I've never known thunder and lightning at the same time as snow!

Indeed Thundersnow seems to be a rare event:

Glad to have experenced it.
Apparently the snow suppresses the acoustics of the thunder so that you only hear it immediately with the lightning - as I did.

Wow! Woke up in the night to hear my missus do a snore, then talk in tongues briefly in the middle of it. Really disturbing, hearing the language we use in dreams. Should have written it down.

Jesus, my wife does that every night - the speaking in tongues. She also tells nonsensical stories (about babies in boxes and baked beans and all kinds of odd stuff) and has random, discontextualised conversations. She often moves about in the room, too, as if possessed. My son's doing it now, too, when he doesn't wake me up by screaming (he has Night Terrors).

Is it any wonder I'm absolutely exhausted?

And I thought I had problems with hubby snoring! The other night, the cat woke me up snoring!!

Back to the weather ... I've never heard of snow and thunderstorms at the same time - that's quite amazing. We've got the snow but not thunderstorms.

@ zed - That must be why you weren't as impressed with PA - because you apparently live through it most nights...
