Not to be outdone by the excellent Zed, here's the cover to my forthcoming ATP collection, Lost Places, by Jason Van Hollander. No idea how to put the image in my post, so you'll have to follow the link I'm afraid!

Really beautiful cover - as I've said elsewhere. Congratulations Simon!

I can't work out how to put the image in a post either.

Whe-hey, the 2010 Ash Tree juggernaut is well and truly on the road...top stuff, fella. Now we just need to see the Duffster's cover for the full set.

You'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see Steve's cover.

It is the real Morecambe, yes - photo taken by my beautiful lady wife!

I once had lectures in St Leonardsgate church in 1967. Is that close by?

Ooops, sorry, that was in Lancaster.
Back to Morecambe, was that photo taken anywhere near the Bradford Arms where I used to go courting?
Or to Westminster Road where I had digs?

Des, it's a photo of the land side of the seafront, just up from the Tivoli Gardens cafe - not sure I know the Brdford Arms. Do you remember the Elms hotel? It's just shut, but I have great memories of it - my wedding reception was there. We (Wendy and I) went for out first anniversary meal there, and there were four of us in the restaurant...

The Bradford Arms was near the bus station.
Oh heady days of the late sixties in Morecambe. Jimi Hendrix aand Purple Haze...
And I loved the fish, chips and tubs of mushy peas.
Davy Jones Locker?

Ash Tree do seem to be shaping up for a very good year, what with this, the Zed and Paul Finch collections. Not to mention the various collections mentioned on their Forthcoming Titles page, especially the Tuttle, Tumasonis and Timperley.

Slightly updated version of the cover is now available (along with news about my soon-to-be triumphant appearances at WHC!) on the latest blog:

Brilliant cover! You are going to be so busy at WHC. I'll be there for your reading if I can work out when to go and eat etc....earlier or later. Fancy a curry or something?

I'm sure we can slot that in after the 4 oclock signing is done!

I have a reading slot on Sunday - just before lunch. I also have a couple of book signings and am on the same panel as you, Unzo.

This reminds me that I should stick the details of my WHC 2010 gubbins on my website...if only to remind myself of what they all are.

I would've been involved in my first (and probably last) signing session for the Black Books launch, but I can't get there until the saturday morning so I'll have to miss it. Bummer. I'll have to plan my days carefully, I think.

I challenge you to get the word 'flange' into your panel talk, Gary.

I still want to hear McMahon's answer to the question of socks with blue or green triangles.

I assumed Gary would be going sockless, the better to show off his hairy toes through the straps of his sandals. Is this not the case?

Oy! There'll be no sandals on my panel, thank you very much. This is not Vietnam. There are rules.
