It's back, and it's better than ever. Tonight's episode was absolutely brilliant, I thought. Anyone else see it? |

Don't worry Ally, it's repeated 4 times this week on bbc3. It was indeed excellent. |

Looking forward to this. I'm especially glad Zed's watching, as I nearly ordered him to watch it when it was only a pilot. |

Saw it last evening. Damnbed good. They're really getting into the heart of the characters now, with more subtlety and less of the 'over-explaining' narrative of earlier episodes. Better camera work and lighting too, by the looks of things; it's more interesting to look at. |

Yup, saw it too. Was worried it was gonna suck; after all, the first series was written and produced without high expectations. Really pleased to say I think it hit its stride in the first moments and ran like a good 'un from there on in . . . |

The second episode was better than the first. Creepy as hell... I loved Terry Wogan's guest appearance. This is shaping up to be my favourite thing on telly at the moment. Even better than Home and Away... |

I love the fact they're able to swear, have contextual nudity, and — more than anything — they're dealing with things in very real honest ways. What happens to your relationship when you're girlfriend's suddenly cursed by you? How do you get a date when you're not actually alive? How do you deal with BBC's re-scheduling of things all the blessed time? I mean… CHRIST! What are they THINKING in Broadcasting House? "Let's fuck the viewers over AGAIN"? IDIOTS! [that last one depends on you having seen this week's show, sorry] Here's the best one, as far as I'm concerned: After the Big Bad Mean Leader is defeated and killed, what does the anonymous army of supporters do? Rudderless, they must do something, surely? Brilliant stuff. Brilliant! Shame about the cheesy 'surprise reveal' at the end of episode #3 this week. Oh well. Ity gets people to tune in again. |

It's great but isn't it getting a bit ... heavy going? |

Nope. It's great. The humour somehow never seems forced into the show even though the drama is getting more intense. The scene where we learned the truth about the new man in the ghost's life in ep 2 was terrifying. It was one of the few bits I've seen on TV that made me forget to breathe while it was happening. (Another was Episode 2 of Dexter series 3 when Jimmy Smits was about to walk in on the latest killing.) |

I agree. Fantastic show. I missed the first series. For some reason i didn't appeal as i assumed it was more of a BBC Three sitcom type thing. Very much enjoying the first few episodes of this second series. Almost, but not quite, as good as Misfits. |

It's like cake mix though; this run feels like it has too many nuts in it, or egg or whatever it is stops a cake from rising. |
