There's a light-hearted follow-up to my recent feature in Black Static here, if anyone's remotely interested: http://ttapress.com/779/getting-to-know-gary-mcmahon/0/5/ I had a chuckle answering these, anyway.

It made me chuckle, too. Particularly: "To own, eat, or be attacked by?" And I'm with you on the subject of Led Zeppelin vs Pink Floyd. Very much so... |

Ah, but are we right or wrong to have that opinion? Or is it all just sprouts? |

Did you really think Pollock is Bollocks or because it rhymed? |

A bit of both, to be honest, Des. Pollock never did much for me...apart from provide a juvenile rhyme. |

Pollock is a pillock (My short-short Jackson's Pollock published in 1990 in US Mag 'The Tome') |

Nice one, Gary. I've enjoyed both yours and Joel's as much as the 'serious' interviews inside Black Static. |

There's a serious interview in the magazine? I read that when it arrived in the mail a few weeks ago & thought it a laugh riot! …no? |

Ginger snaps, not AWIL. Got to disagree there. I know the Ginger Snaps werewolf doesn't look quite as good but that film did a good job of freaking me out - which AWIL didn't. |

I actually like both films, but American Werewolf is iconic and really rattled me back when I first saw it on VHS. The Howling is perhaps better than both. |

I re-read the interview in the magazine last evening, substituting comedy answers for the printed ones. The new ones might have been closer to what you originally said, in all likelihood. Especially my version of the 'cinema influences' answer, which concerned a never-ending loop and involved several small Japanese Schoolgirls. And the on-line question and answer session was perfect as was. It might have been improved with more knob and boobs, but that's a question of taste, really. |
