Prince Charles came to the opening of a new gateway centre yesterday in Salford. Working for the NHS just down the road from it I was forced to go along. He walked into the centre and he was wearing a genuine foxfur hat, the poor thing's tail hanging down his back.

The girl next to me was disgusted and she stormed off. Prince Charles asked me what was wrong and I told him, "It's that hat. There's a few people here think it's not exactly politically correct."

He said, "This hat? It was mummy's idea."

"The queen?" I asked

"yes," he said. "She asked me what I was doing today, I said I was coming to salford and she said "Salford? Wear the fox hat.""

???????

Never been more lost - was that a joke?

I feel like I've stumbled across an ancient alien artifact, with no Rosetta Stone to decipher it....

And, um, make hat sound like 'that'.
Poor Craig - this site has mystified him of late, hasn't it?

Ah... now I get it.... Thank you for helping me clear that up. I feel like - well, Prince Charles, in this example.

Those poor Salfordians, ever the butt of cruel British punnery, I do weep for them....
