Managed to persuade the svelte and debonair Mr Johnny Mains to pop round to the Black Abyss recently and review the mammoth new Basil Copper collection. You can read what he has to say here.http://talesfromtheblackabyss.com/2010/04/21/darkness-mist-and-shadow-the-collec ted-macabre-tales-of-basil-copper-edited-by-stephen-jones/ |

Nice review. Copper can certainly do the classic weird tale with style and focus. He also bridges the British and American traditions, giving him a wider range than most horror authors. He's among the most reliable anthology writers, with a grasp of imagery and prose writing that can take your breath away – I recently reread 'The Cave' and was stunned. |

THE CAVE is indeed a classic, Joel. A masterclass in how to write a story that will genuinely frighten its readers. |

E-books are the work of an international Satanist Conspiracy to turn us all into zombies. They transmit radiation which slowly turns human brains into a gooey, icy slush. It's the most up-to-date form of Black Magic. Mark S. |
