Nice one, Ramsey! It's interesting to see how many people who say things like "horror isn't normally the kind of thing I read" actually *have* read and enjoyed horror, though they don't realise it. Keep raising the profile of the genre, Ramsey - that's just what it needs.

There's so much horror out there that just doesn't happen to bear that inexplicably (to me anyway) stigmatised label. I always wonder - would authors like Ian McEwan actually lose sales, respect and credibility if their horror books were marketed as such? And I remain baffled that Stephen King became the world's bestselling author in this genre that no one out there seems to read or like.

It's a strange world.
