Searching YouTube for readings by my favourite writers is a habit of mine. (There are wose ones to have, I suppose.) Today my regular hunt for Ramsey turned up this great but brief excerpt of him reading a portion of "Laid Down": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpIZnYi5MSQ It's nice to see that one of the viewers' comments acknowledges Ramsey's genius. My own reading of Ramsey's work has been greatly enhanced by having seen him read live. I found myself much more able to latch onto the strange rhythm of his prose once I'd seen him demonstrate how he chooses to unfurl it. Enjoy, RCMBers! | ||
