whichever one it was who was wondering about the end of the story I posted in the now deleted thread - yes, the story was a convoluted and a bit nightmary setup for that punchline. It was just a word association/pun that grew and I decided to write it to see where it would go to. |

This was Bloch's trademark, wasn't it? "There she was, decorating the Christmas Tree", or "I wish I had her hands". The latter sentence is from the very aptly titled "Block That Metaphor" out of Atoms and Evil. |

Yes, and someone tells their ambassador - who is equipped with all sorts of weird appendages which enable him to drill and saw - that he really wishes he had his girlfriend's hands because she's such a good piano player . . . |
