I have just stumbled on this entry:
http://poemsandprose.blog.co.uk/2010/06/26/the-final-stitch-in-the-tapestry-8866 488/
publishing (without permission) one of my prose poems from the past (it was printed somewhere a long time ago). I don't mind that nor do I mind him saying it is bad verse (because it is bad *verse* because it is prose that has been arbitrarily broken up) - but what really mystifies me is that it states it could not find any info about DF Lewis. One jab on google of "DF Lewis" gives pages and pages of stuff!

Well, is this common practice?

I'd write to him directly, Des.

Des -I just left him a message. Don't worry, nothing rude or impolite. I just pointed out that he might like to try again in his search for information on you.

Hope that wasn't too forward of me.

(Des, is probably thinking...oh, Jesus Christ, who knows what inflammatory message Frank has posted!)

That's OK, Frank. I've already left a comment with my website address (yet to be moderated). :-)

I'm sure it will be 'moderated' fairly. He does say on his site that anything which might breach copyright will be taken down if requested. The question is, will he moderate my message?

Yes, they are all up there your message and mine.
I'm happy.

Just noticed he has removed the bit about it "not being great verse"! :-)

Well, I think he should stick to his guns and opinions, rather than remove it, as your intention and mine was just to inform him to look more closely.

But I guess his manners dictates otherwise. Rather nice gesture when you think about it. OR, he was shocked at his faux paux at having direct contact with you, well, as direct as the internet allows.

For any interested, my WordPress sites, other than the real-time review site, have closed down for a Sabbatical and an intended reconstruction, but all their current content and links will be preserved unchanged. Currently, you may enter these sites by requesting access if you are a WordPress registered member. Nobody will be refused.

During this period, if you can’t find a continuation part of any review, you may be able to find it by searching here: http://weirdmonger.livejournal.com

Also you can always obtain from me, duly signed, the complete printed text in book form of any of my past Real-Time Reviews – or direct from the printer at Lulu. Details here: http://dflewisreviews.wordpress.com/rtrs-as-books/

What I find really interesting about your material, Des, is that it inhabits its own unique literary world somewhere halfway between poetry and narrative prose, if that makes sense? I don't believe I've encountered anything else quite like it. You paint weirdly disorienting yet beguiling pictures with words.
