The NULL IMMORTALIS book (the final Nemonymous) is now here in tangible form. If I say so myself, it looks lovely. The official publication date: today 29 June 2010. :-)

That's a beautiful sight to behold, Des.

I've just done the PayPal thingy - and asked you to sign it for me too of course. I'll have a complete set of signed nemos then - except you never signed the sixth for me (or did you sign it in invisible ink?)

I'm afraid it's too late, Tony, as I sent it today. :-(

Well today's 29 June 2010 - publication date - and, everyone, please remember when reading it, it is a 'Retrocausal Epitaph for Secret Synchronicity'.

Got it! Hey - that's my highest payment ever, Des! A real psychological boost. As was seeing the story in print. I'm dead happy with it and feel a bit more like a writer than I did this morning.

Sparkling wit, Joel!

The other day I went into a supermarket and saw a bottle of "Still Water" and my first thought was: what is it going to turn into?

PLEASE NOTE: No promises, but it is a current idle thought of the Nemonymous editor/publisher, at some unknown point in the future, retrocausally to produce a hard copy replacement or alternative for NEMONYMOUS SIX.

Somehow I get the feeling that Nemonymous Six was meant to be released after the final ever one. This is all part of the masterplan of D F Lewis. I bet the stories have already been selected (from the future). All Des needs to do to avoid a paradox, is to convince the writers to produce the tales and submit them.

Steve, when all the writers mentioned HERE have offered me a new story, it is then possible that I will start considering seriously the publication of a retrocausal NEMONYMOUS SIX, i.e. those stories together with other stories that I shall invite for appearance from among previously Nemonymous-published writers.

As has someone else;

I still don't feel like I've been in it. It all feels unreal.

As Des says about "The Shell", Tony (and I agree with him):
"I wonder if the author appreciates quite how stunning."
You've certainly been in it, Tony - no doubt about that!

I've been wanting to put something together to say here about Null Immortalis, but I just can't find the words. No matter what I was to say about it, it just wouldn't be enough. I don't think I have the vocabulary to express the impact these stories have had on me. I'll say just one thing - this book really MUST win awards. It's the most amazing anthology I've ever read.

It's funny but he mentions naivety. I do struggle to achieve that quality, try and write like I'm writing some mystic Nancy Drew kind of book. Thanks, Caroline!

I'm not good with reviews - and I don't have a website to review it on anyway - but I stand by my comments above:

"I've been wanting to put something together to say here about Null Immortalis, but I just can't find the words. No matter what I was to say about it, it just wouldn't be enough. I don't think I have the vocabulary to express the impact these stories have had on me. I'll say just one thing - this book really MUST win awards. It's the most amazing anthology I've ever read."

Thanks Des!

Congratulations to S.D. Tullis whose story from NU entitled THE RETURN appears on the list here:
http://www.darkecho.com/darkfantasy/
i.e. the announcement that this story is appearing in the book 'The Year's Best Dark Fantasy and Horror', 2011 Edition
And thanks, SDT, for lending your name to characters in all the NU stories!

Further to that, I am pleased to announce the following (which sounds good going to me as Null Immortalis was not wholly a Horror anthology):

Ellen Datlow's Honorable Mentions for Best Horror of the Year volume three

Bacon, Stephen “The Toymaker of Bremen,”

Fry, Gary “Strings Attached,”

Kendall, Rachel “Holesale,”

Lane, Joel “The Drowned Market,”

Nickels, Tim “Supermarine,” (novella)

Oliver, Reggie “You Have Nothing to Fear,”

Pearlman, Daniel “A Giant in the House,”

Simon, Marge “Troot,”

Tullis, S. D. “The Return,”
