In London over the weekend - alas, we couldn't get tickets for Salome, but instead we went to another favourite of Jenny's, Leonard Bernstein's Mass. I hadn't realised how much more powerful this is in performance - it's very much a theatre piece. Hugely exciting and powerful, it was worth the trip all by itself. Alas, it's gone, but if it should be performed near you, give it a visit. |
