I'm not trying to restart the debate from the other thread (although cats will rule the world) I just thought these pics were quite funny

I have seen that second image in real life. That is not PhotoShopped. ...and Weber is right: cats are Gods who rightfully rule and live among us as blessings. |

I love cats AND dogs. They're both wonderful, in their different ways. (And in a minute, Zed will come along to tell us how he hates them both. See? Perfect balance.) |

Same here, I wouldn't want to live without either but if absolutely forced to pick at gunpoint, I'd have to say I'm more a dog person - it's the love you get in return and the way they wag their tails. Sorry, Grimalkin... |

Don't settle for one cat - half a dozen is the optimum number. They're the purveyors of fundamental truths, and will soon teach you that most of the frenetic and ultimately useless things that you do in your human lives are a complete waste of time. A feline tip to any writers out there: If you let your cats walk around unattended on your keyboard(s) for a while, they do create some remarkably insightful work. In fact (Stevie -are you listening?),I suspect William Golding used cats for this purpose. There's also suspicion that Craig, who posts on this board, could well be assisted in some of his contributions by a large ginger tom... Let's hear it for tortoises too. Ours is called Parker, having an uncanny resemblance to the 'Thunderbirds' puppet. Although he's a truly recalcitrant bastard,he's the font of much wisdom and,as a teaching aid,he's second only to the cats. Right,I'm off now to indulge in some utterly useless human activity. Luv,Alexilemming |

To be honest, I didn't see the "other thread" and therefore this was more than likely mentioned, if not the source of the topic, but I've got to say that I think that Lovecraft's essay, "Cats and Dogs", is probably the most brilliant thing he ever wrote. Whenever I read it it never fails to put a big grin on my face. And for the record, I'm with the cats. |

It's my cherished thought God created Animals so Walt Disney could be inspired and make animated cartoons! Would we have Pluto had not been dogs around? Warner and MGM following in the track. |

I'm actually warming towards cats...there's a lovely blind one called Fred where I live now. He belongs to a neighbour and regularly wanders into our house (he came to visit this morning). |

Best thing to do in these circumstances is remove the word "to" in the sentence "I'm rather warming to cats". In other words, stick it in the oven, gas mark 7, for 2 hours. Watch the bastard char. |

Lovecraft wrote a sequel to 'Cats and Dogs' about the burgeoning Japanese motor car companies and their superior craftmanship. He called it 'Datsun cogs'. |

Or the arachnaphobes... shame we're still on explorer 6 here so youtube just doesn't work any more. I can't watch any of these clips. I did see the title was about a mouse eating spider. |

Jesus, Hugh, what you go and do that for? I suppose you did warn us. There's all sorts of horrible clips of animals eating each other on you tube. I wish there wasn't. |

Cats too eat mice, you know! They usually take their time killing their prey, playing with it for hours on end. With a spider this size it's all over in twenty seconds - the mouse is paralysed and killed by the venom and doesn't feel it's being eaten. |

My Bro-In-Law just purchased a "White" Labrador Retriever and invited me over to meet the little beastie. I forgot how much they shed and now my black shirt is white. Freindly little bugger though. |
