OK, so we've watched our box set of Friday the 13th, which has Parts 1-8. I put Jason Goes to Hell on our LoveFilm rental list but it's listed as having a "long wait". Which means it will be ages before we see it and by then we might have lost the thread of the story and have to start all over again at number 1! And no, of course I'm not serious.

We're only ever going to watch it once (although this will be the second time for me, who actually saw it in the cinema when it came out!), so I really don't want to buy it on Amazon for a fiver.

So is there any kind (or mad) soul out there who would be willing to lend us their copy? We'd certainly be happy to do a hostage exchange with a DVD of ours in return.

And don't worry - if you're too embarrassed to admit to owning it, just drop me an email.

I have the complete works of Burt Reynolds, but not this one, alas. I just felt it was a little too embarrassing. I mean, imagine if I were burgled. Blackmail material, that. Reputation under threat. Yes, reputation - you heard me. The mad old bint next door thinks I'm great cos I went to fetch her copy of The Daily Nazi once in 2007. That's a lot to risk for just one DVD. Ya know wot I'm sayin', like?

I have this one on video, if you still have a player hooked up to the TV... One of the better entries!

Thanks Stephen! Unfortunately Kate & I consigned our two VHS players to the recycling dump a couple of months ago and as you can see, she's already forgotten the format ever existed.

KATE: Video is that MASSIVE cassette format (VHS was even bigger than BETA, which was even larger than 8MM) which was next to impossible to secrete in a jacket pocket when you were sneaking out to a friend's place to watch 'movies'.

You also couldn't get it into your mouth like an audio cassette. Video had both sound & pictures, also, unlike the 'compact cassette' which had either a mix tape of music or programmes for the playing of at lunch on the school's TRS-80s.

You two are all up to date now, eh? No more reel-to-reels playing Bach or Mahler, eh? What do you do with all that extra space?

Words fail me

What do you do with all that extra space?

My dear Sir Ian, surely you of all people knows that a gentleman NEVER discusses what he does with his 'extra space'

Surely you have encountered patients requiring all sort of things to be removed from them?

One presumed that some of the Martial Arts equipment would take up a fair bit of room, but surely not that much?

...I did spell the seventh word right, didn't I?

Dear oh dear, this has all got rather silly, hasn't it? (Unlike the important and culturally significant F13 films...)

So - um... has anyone got Jason Goes to Hell on DVD?
