I think that the person who compiled this list with the remake at no 1 may have ruffled some feathers.

Ah, another one of those zombie film fans who thinks that no zombie films were made before George Romero came on the scene, methinks. How about REAL zombie films like "I Walked With A Zombie" and "White Zombie"?

There's so much to disagree with there that I can't even be arsed starting. That Resident Evil: Extinction was even on the list suggests that it's at least five films too long.

But that's what's so silly, daft and contentious about these lists...we all make them, even if we don't put them up on message-boards. It does serve a purpose, which is to furiously debate the positions held, or to make us look like a bunch of anal retentives.

Well, here's another silly, daft and contentious list - my Top 10 zombie movies of all time:

1. 'Dawn Of The Dead' (1978) by George A. Romero
2. 'Night Of The Living Dead' (1968) by George A. Romero
3. 'I Walked With A Zombie' (1943) by Jacques Tourneur
4. 'Zombie Flesh Eaters' (1979) by Lucio Fulci
5. 'Plague Of The Zombies' (1966) by John Gilling
6. 'Shaun Of The Dead' (2004) by Edgar Wright
7. 'Day Of The Dead' (1985) by George A. Romero
8. 'City Of The Living Dead' (1980) by Lucio Fulci
9. 'Braindead' (1992) by Peter Jackson
10. 'The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue' (1974) by Jorge Grau

Only they're not really zombie movies '28 Days Later'/'28 Weeks Later' would have been high up there as well. Maybe a Top 10 infected crazies list?

Likewise I think of 'The Evil Dead' as more a demonic possession movie and 'Tombs Of The Blind Dead' (etc) ghost films... these things are important!
