Check out this one - THANKSGIVING - forthcoming from Eli Roth. Something of a retro piece, clearly, but there's one moment in this trailer where you can't help but think: "Ouch! That's got to f*****g hurt!" http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/film/3775 Also heard about another retro horror soon doing the rounds, HOUSE OF THE WOLFMAN. Caught a bit-trailer of the other night, while slaughtered, and it looked fascinating. |

The link doesn't want to work for me so I can't be sure but isn't this Roth's 'fake' trailer from Grindhouse? Speaking of which, have you seen the trailer for Machete - the fake film that's become a real one? |

Mark - The same with THANKSGIVING, was a fake trailer, now a movie. |

It's certainly being marketed as a movie, so I suspect Frank is right. Try and find a link to the trailer if you can, Mark - it's on bloody-disgusting.com, in the 'movie pit' section. It's an absolute cracker. |

Paul - no, you're right, mate. It IS a movie now. BTW: mate, am I right in saying you live in Wigan? If so, would you mind telling me which part. I once lived for a year or more in Pemberton opposite the train station. Bloody nightmare it was (: |

Wigan ... a nightmare? Never! ; > Well Frank, I now live in leafy Standish, but I was born roughly in the Pemberton area - namely Newtown, and then spent much of my childhood in central Wigan. The Swinley district. Course, I've lived in other towns in other parts of the UK, but I always seem to keep washing up back here. Blood seems to be thicker than water for us Lancashire folk. |

Gary ... I agree. But you must admit, you'll never feel the same way about going on a trampoline again. |

The big "turkey" on the table at the end did it for me. That was so absurd, so gross, that it was almost brilliant. |

Fantastic! Music stolen from Creepshow too - perfect. I saw Planet Terror but not Grindhouse. I'll have to see if we have the DVD. |

Kate - Grindhouse is the catch-all title for Planet Terror and Deathproof. In my opinion, Planet Terror was a gripping little piece of work, Deathproof was Tarantino at his most self-indulgent. The latter part of the film though, with Zoe Bell, was well done. On the same subject, did you see the Rob Zombie fake trailer, Werewolves of the SS with Nicolas Cage as Fu Manchu? |

I loved both Planet Terror and Deathproof. The former is hilarious and knowing, and Kurt Russell is superb in the latter (which comes across exactly like the kind of film to which it's paying homage). |

Planet Terror and Deathproof were both fun romps and I am happy to see they made Machette into a film from one of those fake trailers. Can't wait to add it to my DVD collection. |

Agreed... 'Planet Terror' and 'Death Proof' were both wonderful returns to form for both directors imo. |
