Another list sent to me to spread around...

At 4p.m. Saturday.

PS Publishing.

1) CATASTROPHIA
- an anthology of new stories about the end of the world, edited by Allen Ashley.

(2) THE SEVEN DAYS OF CAIN
- a novel by Ramsey Campbell

(3) THE COMPANY HE KEEPS
- the latest Postscripts anthology, 155,000 words edited by Crowther & Gevers (

4) THE HOUSE OF CANTED STEPS
- a specially priced novel from Gary Fry.

(5) TALES FROM THE FRAGRANT HARBOUR
- a collection from Garry Kilworth.

(6) CINEMA FUTURA
- an anthology of essays on favourite SF movies, edited by Mark Morris.

(7) END TIMES
- a novel by Rio Youers

I'm pretty sure that all the authors of the novels will be there. Our very own Gary Fry for one. I know Rio will be there. Garry Kilworth is also guest of honour. Ramsey will be there. Pete Crowther of course. Mark Morris for Cinema Futura (should be at least 10 of the authors there for that one) I haven't been sent a list of who is signing for any of the anthologies, sometimes the publishers just send a list of what is to be launched and not which authors will be present.

If anyone is in those anthologies and are reading this it would be great if they could say if they are attending the convention and signing....

Midnight...there will be a launch taking place on the Saturday. As you may know Macmillan are republishing the very first Pan Book of Horror. It's a facsimile edition with the original cover but has an introduction from Johnny Mains (signing) about the legacy of the series. FantasyCon will be launching the book several weeks ahead of its publication date as a convention exclusive. John Probert will be reading 'His Beautiful Hands' by Oscar Cook at 11.15 as a precursor to the book being launched afterwards.

I'm in Cinema Futura and didn't even know it was being launched. If Mark Morris wasn't so damned cute I'd strangle him.

There ought to be some sort of combined Pendragon / Screaming Dreams / Atomic Fez event that will feature "something for everyone", including a CD_Rom chock full of free samples from all three members of the Evil Cabal™ of publishers.

More once we sort things.

'THE DJINN - is a reprint of Graham's wonderful 1977 novel, with a spanking new cover and internal illustrations by Daniele Serra.

RULES OF DUEL - this is an incredible fantasy/crime novel written with William S Burroughs in the late sixties and never before published. With a brilliant cover by Lee Thompson, RULES OF DUEL is a poetic and thought provoking read.'

Atomic Fez Publishing will have available copies of Ponthe Oldenguine, the latest work from Andrew Hook. Details here: http://www.atomicfez.com/?page_id=2657 and there's a thread elsewhere on the RCMB announcing it, with a title about 'Secret BBC Histories' or some such rubbish.

The book's a paperback and inexpensive at just £8 for the month (same price on the site and at the Screaming Dreams / Pendragon / Atomic Fez Dealers' Table). Save the shipping cost by buying from Chris Teague at the convention.

Hopefully the damned books will arrive in time. I've only had it pre-booked at the printers for three months... [grumble]
