when we accidentally swear in polite company in English, we say "Excuse my French". What do the French say in similar situations? | ||

On similar lines, the Toyota MR2 had to be renamed for the Franch speaking world as MR2 -spoken in a french accent - becomes MERDE which is one of the worst french swear words... | ||

MERDE which is one of the worst french swear words... Well the US movie Dinner for Schmucks is a remake of the French film Le Diner de Cons which apparently gave translators a bit of a headache over here .  | ||

A customer where I work informed me that the word 'Pajero' roughly translates as 'one who masturbates'. Given that the Mitsubishi Pajero is basically a Chelsea Tractor, this seems appropriate. Just sayin'. |
