Henceforth to be known as the Durex Stadium of Death. I used to live in a sinister seaside town inhabited by the wretched and the feral. The only thing that could be called quaint in that benighted place was the town hall, which they had turned into a MacDonalds.
Lovecraft's birthplace is now a Starbucks, by the way. |

Well, I don't know. Methinks repair funds should, and can, be obtained at Home. I am aware the Colosseum to be a matter of global historical interest but it's not an Iraqui monument to be salvaged. The Italian Government is strictly manacled to the Roma-phobic Paduan Party which would resent spending money for the Capital City which they have positively in hate! They would rather have their northern quasi-insignificant Bergamo as their political-economic hub than Rome. I don't know why they resent the City: they say a Rome-centered Government has been sucking economy from the north to the benefit of the center and southern regions of Italy, so they are aiming at a secession euphemistically called "federalism". I think such minority in the majority party is tightening the purse. As an aside, "Paduan" politicians are well and living in Rome and seem to enjoy their stay at the same time they are spitting into their plate! The fanta-story told by such self-appointed heirs to the Druids is quite the reverse of historical truth: the North has been spoiling the southern regions of Italy for centuries. |
