Well, they should be on the shelves today - anyone spotted them yet?

Johnny, I spotted this in my local Waterstones last night and stood reading your intro!!

A real joy to see it on the shelves again and loved the "wrinkles" on the cover - beautiful! I will probably buy a copy as I have the "severed head in the muck" edition and it's in a pretty tatty state, not that I'd ever part with it.

Well done, mate!

The wrinkled cover is a facsimile of one of the spare copies I pulled off my shelf. Book actually belonged to Mary Danby - so everyone will be buying a copy of a book that's identical to the one that the Fontana Horror editor once owned before passing it on to me.

My little in-joke to myself.

It was in the Brighton Waterstones yesterday, Johnny. Nicely done!

I'll definitely be getting this new edition. It will be great to have a fresh, clean, unspoiled copy for once. Brilliant work! Roll on number 2.

Went into town and saw that all bar one copy had been sold (they got about twenty in) - and have been given the pre-order numbers which was absolutely staggering and blew my tiny little mind.

I spotted two copies in Kettering Waterstones today, spine in. I moved some dark romance stuff out the way, faced out the Pan and wandered off to the kids section with Matthew. When we went to buy his book, one of the Pan's had gone.

Looking good, Johnny.
