A lot of people seem intent on giving this film a chance, but I'm not. If you're going to remake (or "prequelise") one of the greatest horror films ever made, you're leaving yourself wide open to criticism. I've said all along that this woud be shite; this trailer just confirms my assumptions.

From what I could see and hear, the dialogue sounds a little ropey. And it looks like they've simply redone scenes.

Strangely they've entitled the film: The Thing!!!!

Just as Predators was unambitious fun, I hope that this one offers at least simple entertainment.

I don't hold out much hope for this. The trailer seems to suggest that they've taken the "let's make it the same but with YOUNGER, MORE GOOD LOOKING people."

That's one godawful tagline as well.

Like the entire cast, as we already know the outcome, this film is doomed from the very start. I won't be wasting my money on it.

I will, Steve, I'm going to give it a chance, but subconsciously I may already have shot it down with all the other recent remakes (though this is being touted as a prequel, which I suppose it is, yet funnily enough with the same title, and no alteration), exempting the Dawn of the Dead remake and The Texas Chainsaw remake.
