Dear All I've put a web site together. It advertises Exaggerated Press books and has the Monster Book for Girls guidelines. It'll have some stuff about me (but not too much), the least interesting bit I know, reviews of Independant Press books and Wordland, which will be a fiction e-zine for good stories and poetry, genre doesn’t matter, so watch this space, or the web site space. You can also advertise your Independent Press books on there eventually, as well as send me links for your own sites, markets and any other useful stuff. We'll see how it goes. The embryo is here http://exaggeratedpress.weebly.com/ Any comments, or if you spot any blunders, let me know, my skin is thick,,, Regards Terry |

I agree with Mark about the site, Terry. Just a couple of "nitpicking" points which I hope you don't mind me making as you'd asked for feedback. First, in the links down the left hand side, when I click "submission guidelines" this takes me to guidelines for The Monster Book for Girls. But you haven't mentioned this intended publication on your home page, just the ezine Wordland. So, if I was visiting the site for the first time, I'd expect submission guidelines to take me to guidelines for Wordland, and I'd wonder where MBFG came from. Perhaps you need to say something about MBFG on the home page too, and maybe have separate guideline links for both? Secondly, you ask for "prose, poems and ACCOMPANYING artwork" for Wordland. This sounds to me like you're only interested in people who can provide artwork to accompany their writing, but presumably you'd be happy for someone to submit writing ONLY, or even artwork ONLY? If so, maybe that needs to be made clearer? Hope you don't mind me suggesting this. I feel a little awkward now as you're a proper editor 'n all! |

Of course, from my lofty editing perch I can smile and bid the little people to approach... Good points and ones that I will attend to in the morning beause you are right. The brutal truth about the submission guidelines is that TEP isn't open to general submissions at the moment. It is very much an occasional press. perhaps that will change eventually. Thanks Terry |

So you're not going to swoop down on me from your lofty editing perch and eat me all up then, Terry? Phew, that's a relief! I can rest easy now. |

Deserved Mark. It evoked the dark jungle of childhod and my own experience at a horrible place called school - definately not the best days of my life. Terry |

Hi Terry: Looks good so far, though I didn't have much time to look at it because . . . I have to leave real soon to drive around and peddle my upcoming "Dragon's Ark" to SF Bay Area Bookstores: You can read about it here at: http://amblerhouse.blogspot.com/ Maybe you'd like to review when it comes out . . . . |
