Home now from World Fantasy in Columbus, where - even though it's still two years away - the first wave of publicity for Toronto in 2012 was rolled out. Guests of honour announced thus far are Elizabeth Hand, John Clute, and artist Richard A. Kirk, while Gary K. Wolfe will serve as toastmaster at the awards banquet/presentation. Registrations are now being accepted at the early bird rate of Cdn/US$100.00 (attending) or $50.00 (supporting), and you can get full details at the website: http://www.wfc2012.org/index.html

You should be able to register on the site very soon; we weren't able get that active until after WFC 2010 was over, and Rodger Turner, our esteemed webmaster, was going to get onto that when he got home.

I just noticed that one of the convention's themes is Northern Gothic Fantasy.

Beautiful.

I just purchased my membership for World Horror in Austin, so I can't pick up a membership for WFC just yet, but it's only about 5 or 6 hours away so I should be there.

Word of warning for those who've been to Toronto before: It's actually in a suburban sprawl named Richmond Hill, which is quite a ways outside of Toronto proper.
