Good debut post. Like many others I'm sure, I've enjoyed watching the phoenix rising. A few years ago, I remember putting a story of yours down, turning to my wife and saying "How the fuck is this bloke not on the shelves in Waterstones?" Nice to be right occasionally  As for future posts, you could talk us through your polaroid collection of 19th century telegraph poles. | ||

All the success is very well deserved, Gary, and 'Rain Dogs' has a very special place on my bookshelf now, although when I'll get round to reading it is anyone's guess... Poe, Dostoevsky, Heinlein, Raymond, Hammett & Ramsey have me in their thrall these days - but it's near the top of the pile. Also I'll be starting into the 'Best New Horror' volumes, from No.1, in the not too distant future. | ||
