Who's GCW? Never heard of him!
(for you GCW .. .. but don't tell Soozie!)

Des - sorry, I still can't see your joke. Er .. it's probably just me ...

That cover really is terrible. Hope the book is better. I picked up a book on eBay a while back (Lulu published) by someone called Killian H Gore. Clearly the same kind of pseudonym - quite clever really!

Hello Gcw. Have we met?

I agree, the cover wouldn't entice me to part with my pennies though that is an admission that I really do judge books by their covers.

Psuedonym? nah. he's probabay relted to the Cheltenham Jackels, or more probabably from the Totteridge branch of the Smythe-Jackels. Lovely family, real quality and old money of course.

Regards
Terry Grimwood

I read a couple of Jackal's stories ages ago in, I think, and old Star anthology and they were great. I have a book of his from Steve Duffy (who insisted I borrow it - he got quite aggressive about it, to be honest!) which I've not got round to reading yet but will do soon.

Sorry, Caroline. It was just asking Zed in as dead-pan a fashion as I could muster whether Lucifous Jackal was a pseudonym ... or not.

I do like the rear-view mirror effect of the boxed eyes up at the top.

This is the one I had, I think it was the only novel he ever had published by a mainstream house.

That works ok, Mark, but you have to copy and paste the entire link, rather than clicking on it.

That rearview mirror effect worked for me too (even though I now realise it isn't meant to be one!)
