Just to remind everyone that The Dracula Papers - Book One: The Scholar's Tale by Reggie will be published by Chomu Press in January.

I've been given a review copy and it's good news folks. 150 pages in and without gushing - it has blown away every novel I've read this year so far.

Here is the link to the Chomu Press page.

Only thing I would say is that with a book of this magnitude it should have probably have been published as a hardback, but that's by the by.

Already ordered! It makes a nice change to have an *affordable* Reggie Oliver book.

I've recently finished reading "Masque of Satan" and I just didn't want it to ever end!

Indeed, and it is also an easily accessable book by Reggie, as his earlier books were either enormously expensive, or very hard to come by.

Chomu are publishing some very interesting books and writers, and I very much admire their publishing philosophy. I've got an advance copy of this one for review too, and it's very good-looking. I was supposed to hand it over to my TQF co-editor John Greenwood this evening for him to review, but at the last decided I had to keep it for myself...

Chomu are indeed publishing some interesting stuff - Quentin S. Crisp's novel was one of the best things I read this year.

Regarding Reggie's new novel, it sounds intriguing but it probably isn't the kind of thing I'm likely to read. I prefer my novel-length horror contemporary. Not a big fan of this kind of pastiche, either, especially Dracula stuff.
