Breaking News; Apparently, Vince Cable's comments about Murdoch - not printed in today's Telegraph and released by a whistleblower - threaten the whole Coalition Govt? Less seriously, will he be on Strictly Come Dancing, now? |

Several millions future students weep buckets. Isn't he just using his banking stance to re-establish his credibility after the fees debacle? |

This could mean a General Election soon after Christmas - if one follows the possible logic through. |

Maggie Clegg First posted last May: http://nullimmortalis.wordpress.com/2010/09/04/maggie-clegg/ PS: Cable TV is what I recall in the 1990s as the beginning of these stirrings of communication scanbuncles. |

One minute he's talking about the nuclear option, the next he's offered a grovelling apology. I'm not sure Cable is the rebellious firebrand that he'd like us to think. Probably enjoying his ministerial position too much. |

Cable is to the so-called coalition as John Peel was to Radio One: an iconic 'rebel' figure kept on board to appease critics both within and outside the organisation. At least Peel backed up his words with his actual choice of music, whereas Cable has merely grumbled about 'coalition' policy while routinely following it. Until now, when he's displayed principle and has, of course, been punished for it by his Tory masters. |

An iconic rebel figure . . . who has agreed to work with Bruce 'the anarchist' Forsyth. |
