Well, that's what HRH seems to think: "Right around the world, people gather to compete under standard rules and, in most cases, in a spirit of friendly rivalry," I've come across this specious argument before, largely in seriously outdated and naive '60s textbooks. All I can say is this: the competition over vital resources is a little more bloody than that which attends scoring a goal and winning a lump of metal with handles. Anyway, I never expected much more. |
