Unfortunately, I won't be in Yorkshire that day, but if I had been I would most certainly have come along to see you, Ramsey. Good luck with it! |

Er, I won't be there either... |

Hope the reading goes well, Ramsey! And I'd recommend Graveley's fish restaurant in Harrogate – a superb, varied and sensibly priced menu with a wine list to put posher restaurants to shame. That's assuming you don't share Lovecraft's views on fish. |

Go to the Japanese restaurant next door to the Only Fools and Horses theme pub (no shit), Ramsey. The chef cooks and performs in front of you, juggling eggs etc. Great food, too. |

OK, then go to the Only Fools and Horses bar and have a pint of Tia Maria and Lucozade, a la Del Boy. |

Thanks for the recommendations, guys! Alas, Graveley's closes at nine, which was earlier than I finished. We ended up at L'Albero Delle Noci, a new and very good little Italian restaurant at the bottom of Cheltenham Crescent. Recommended! |

I'm in the Wirral tonight, if that means anything to anyone. I have the kids though. The Wirral. It sounds like a Robert holdstock novel. Does anywhere else in Britain have a 'The' in front of it? It sounds sort of scary or grand. |

'Origin of the name The name Wirral occurs in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle as Wirheal, literally "myrtle-corner", from the Old English wir, a myrtle tree, and heal, an angle, corner or slope. It is supposed that the land was once overgrown with bog myrtle, a plant no longer found in the area but plentiful around Formby, to which Wirral would once have provided a similar habitat. The name was given to the Hundred of Wirral around the 8th century, although by the time of the Domesday Book and for some time afterwards the name of the hundred changed to the Hundred of Wilaveston, which later became Willaston.' 'The Welsh name, both ancient and modern, for the Wirral is Cilgwri. In Welsh mythology, the Ouzel (or Blackbird) of Cilgwri was one of the most ancient creatures in the world.' See. Robert Holdstock. |

Hi Ramsey - I'm in Widnes as I write, we're off to the Wirral or Liverpool tomorrow. You live thereabouts? Are you wondering about meeting?!? Like I say, I have the kids during the day but not the evening. I'll check back here first thing. |

Alas, we're going to be busy with a local petition. Apologies! |
