Look at your reflection in your computer screen now. You see that pale white misshapen disc which appears just above one shoulder? It isn't condensation on the glass . . . and that's especially apparent when it parts crookedly in the middle and then suddenly grows larger. But it isn't growing larger. It's just closer now. And if its widening mouth had anything resembling breath to offer, it would surely whisper into your ear exactly what it plans to do to you . . . | ||

LATER: Now that ABOLISHER OF ROSES is sold out – one wonders what it’s future is. It was strange writing a review knowing that whatever I said about it would have no effect on future sales. That didn’t change what I had to say, though. Reviewing a book using the last copy sold was like trying to sell an FA Cup Final ticket after the match was finished. Man City won! It said it was a novella! It was 20 pages! I also bought a Stephenie Meyer novella the same day and it was 200! What gives? The Gary book has a lovely cover though. It feels like those books we used to have to read at school, the ones we had to answer questions on at the back. I miss those books. Life should be more like school in some ways. | ||

The Spectral chapbooks are short stories, Tony - mine was 7,000 words long, which was the rough limit, I believe. Btw, I think there are only about 9 or 10 copies of mine left...get one now, before it's too late.  | ||
