By gum, I'd be tempted to attend (if it were free). http://www.sixsenseacademy.com/#/liverpool/4548090095 |

Alternatively you could join my Fortean Armchair Detective Agency (FADA) for free. It consists of me as Director and several Agents in the field, dotted around the world. You get a badge and everything but sadly no cake. |

I wonder if the textbooks for the psychic detective course include Algernon Blackwood and William Hope Hodgson... |

I wonder if the textbooks for the psychic detective course include Algernon Blackwood and William Hope Hodgson... Not just the textbooks - if the course tutors don't go by the names of Professor Silence and Professor Carnacki, then they can go hang! |

I fear the course tutor is Joe Power. |

Let's hope not, Stevie. I gather quite a few of his tour dates have been cancelled recently, one because of unforseen circumstances. Here is a photo from Mr Power's own web site, showing his ability to read a person's aura. http://www.joepower.co.uk/crime.html I should also say that the aftermath of his appearance on the Derren Brown prgramme showed how he claims to have said things he hasn't actually said. |

I'm glad to hear that, Ramsey. As a Fortean I get particularly irate at these kind of con artists who steal all the attention away from the genuine anomalies that are out there. |

I had a Malaysian friend who could read auras. Her father taught her. He used to astrally travel, too, and was one of the armies of baddies in the volcano at the end of You Only Live Twice. He advised her not to astrally travel as 'there were things there that have never been human.' Chilled my blood, that. |

He got that from good old Dennis Wheatley. |
