Hello All

As my next horror anthology is coming together so nicely, I thought I'd give you notice of what you can expect. House of Fear is a collection of horror stories based around the theme of the haunted house. It's out in October from Solaris Books in the UK and US and we hope to be able to give away some advance copies at this year's Fantasycon. Anyway, here are the good folk who are joining us for this book:

Joe Lansdale
Paul Meloy
Adam Nevill
Lisa Tuttle
Tim Lebbon
Sarah Pinborough
Eric Brown
Jonathan Green
Nicholas Royle
Christopher Priest
Nina Allan
Chaz Brenchley
Stephen Volk
Christopher Fowler
Gary Kilworth
Weston Ochse
Rob Shearman
Rebecca Levene
Terry Lamsley

So far we have mix of the traditional supernatural and the rather more unusual take on the weird. Very proud of this antho.

Jon

What does Volk know about haunted houses? Pah! :-)

Sounds good, squire. Looking forward to it.

Excellent! I'm especially glad to see you've revived Terry Lamsley - is he still in Amsterdam?

It's 99% original. The Rebecca Levene is a reprint but it first appeared in a very short run publication.

Ramey - Yes, I'm delighted to have Terry in. He is still in Amsterdam.

This looks very promising indeed – a classy and diverse line-up who will surely deliver something outside the common run.

However, mathematical pedantry forces me to observe that the book is actually 94.75% original.

Psychological pedantry makes it highly likely for me to observe that a behavioural tendency is unlikely to force you to do anything. :-)

Ooh, Terry Lamsley! I have everything of his so far, at least according to the page that Simon Strantzas created.

And, what's more, the previous Solaris anthology THE END OF THE LINE is still avilable. And it's ace.

This looks like an essential. I loved End of the Line, too.
