I've got an interview and story in Midnight Street at http://www.midnightstreet.co.uk/MIDNIGHT%20STREET%2015.pdf

The magazine is free but if you go to the homepage there is an option to make donations if you happen to have some spare money lying around.

Sorry, but that made me laugh out loud!

Is there anyone here living in circumstances that have improved under Cameron? I'm just curious about this. I know it's early days yet, but the consensus among my friends is that their situations have got slightly worse in the past year.

I'd rather not have political rants as an answer, thanks; just a statement of practical fact. For instance, financially the standard of my life has dipped under Cameron; but in terms of red tape and bureaucracy it has improved slightly.

I had my political rant yesterday. My doctor told me to take two a week, twice a day, and that I'd feel right as rain in the morning. He was right. I'm back to my usual grumpy arsed fuckwit self.

Sorry, Stu, I keep on hijacking your threads (makes more sense that starting a new one)...

I also have a story in this issue of Midnight Street, and reiterate Stu's suggestion above to check them a couple of quid if you download it.

No worries, John. Apologies for not mentioning your story in the first place.

Great storytelling, fellas.
Stu, I adored the pay-off, and John, that was a gripping concept.

Thanks Matthew.

Stu - just read your story this morning. I really enjoyed the slide from slightly unusual to the outright threatening, and the spring chicken joke made me chuckle!

Um, are you talking about the Stuart Hughes story? Mine doesn't have any jokes about spring chickens.

So, ahem, now I've read the right story... Good stuff, Stu. Certainly wouldn't have been out of place in one of the Black Books of Horror.

Cheers, John. Not the first time I've been confused for that Hughes fellow. At WHC Michael Kelly kept going round telling people that Stuart Hughes was there when he was actually talking about me.
