I don't think we'll be able to read that unless you give us the password to your email account. ;-) |

Is this the one at Forbidden Planet in London later next month? Carol Ann Ford, Frazer Hines, Terrance Dicks and the cover artist whose name I can't quite recall? They're re-releasing some old Target novels with new introductions. Sounds good. I'll be off to a Who pub-con in Manchester in a couple of weeks ... |

The Lass O'Gowrie, Sunday 3rd July, Weber. Fancy meeting up there? It'd be nice to meet you in the flesh so to speak. I'll just go find the link and post it here shortly ... |

Here you go: http://www.thelass.co.uk/whatson.php Scroll down to the google calendar at the bottom of that events page, click on 3 July at 9am, and you'll get the info: "Doctor Who con - Vworp 4 Sun, 3 July, 09:00 – 18:00 Where Lass O'Gowrie VWORP 4. A Doctor Who convention. In a pub. Guests include Katy Manning, Bob Baker, Paul Tamms, Andrew Cartmel, Ben Aaronovich, Adrian Salmon, Martin Geraghty, Dez Skinn and Peter Ware. £19.95, main pub. Tickets www.wegottickets.com/event/116912" If the thought of meeting me isn't tempting enough, how about Katy Manning? Be aware that the booking agent adds on another £2 booking fee though. |

>>And I'll be reading at the Lass O'Gowrie in their Pub Fiction slot on 18 July.<< Excellent! I'll see if I can get over to Manchester for that too. Meanwhile, I think I've scared Weber off by so enthusiastically suggesting a meet up ... |

To answer the question posed by the thread's title: anyone's as long as there's free beer. |

>>Cazza - I might be working (St John stuff) on the third but if you want to meet after the signing wotsit I'll be free after 6 for definite.<< Weber - not too sure about that yet. The thing is, if I'm going over to Manchester as early as possible in the morning (I don't think I can get a train till around 9am, so I'll miss part of the event), it'll be a very long day for me. I reckon my state of health will mean that I'll be ready to drop by 6pm (if not earlier) and will need to get back on the train home by then. Leave it with me to have a think about, check out train times, etc. You know my best email to use if you want to contact me, don't you? (callag at blueyonder dot co dot uk) I don't use the Yahoo one much now. Ramsey - I hope to make it to your reading too, but, again, not totally sure I'll make it yet. |

Hey, Weber - did you get my email about next Sunday's Who signing, sent to your personal address, not to your work one. It was from my Blueyonder address, not the Yahoo one. Might have gone in your spam box by mistake? |

Hi, Caroline. Did you see my message about that old movie 'The Halfway House' on the Horror DVDs thread? It does exist! |

That's fine, Weber - sorry I can't make it. Well, I can make the Who thing (I hope!) but just not meeting up with you afterwards. Stevie - no, I didn't see that. "Halfway House" is brill. Not as good as "Dead of Night" of course, but still an almost forgotten gem well worth a watch. Didn't know it was on DVD. I have an old videoed copy taken from telly - might upgrade to DVD. I'll go read your Horror DVDs thread now ... |
