Just when I thought the magazine couldn't get any better a story by Ramsey Campbell appears in the acceptances section!

I've just read Ramsey's, and it's heartbreaking.

There is much potential empathy to be gained (enjoyed or suffered) from the gestalt of the fiction in Black Static #24:

And, indeed, Zed, 'heartbreaking'. Here and elsewhere.

Details of Black Static 25 are now out:
http://ttapress.com/1135/black-static-25/0/5/

Personal Note: Including: "D.F. Lewis interviewed, plus reviews of Weirdtongue, Nemonymous Night, The Horror Anthology of Horror Anthologies"

I've not seen the reviews yet!

Just received BS #25 today and, despite my photo on the front, found its arrival one of welcome metaphysical repose despite the excitement I had prior to its arrival.

Thanks to Andy - and to Pete (who must have crossed many difficult electronic hurdles to complete the Case Notes project this time) for conducting the interview and reviewing Weirdtongue, Nemonymous Night and the HA of HA.

I shall shortly real-time review this issue's fiction, as I often do with BS fiction. And here is its start:

Since the start of the Classical Horror genre, I've now encountered the first example of it with the Zombie story by Barbara A Barnett - reviewed by me here:

At the risk of blowing my own horn... delighted to announce that my tale 'Dermot' from BS #24 has been recommended for the Stoker. (Only by one person, but hey, it was nice to see) :-)

If I were a Stoker member, I'd recommend DERMOT, too!

Well done, Simon. To my mind, it was one of the strongest stories I'd seen in Black Static.

Thanks, Ally! Just had another bit of related good news- my short story 'The Churn' has just been accepted by Black Static! The year is ending on something of a high note.

Will it be in issue 27, Simon? I hope so - my story, Cuckoo Spit, is scheduled to appear in that one.
